Week 14

This week I continued writing my thesis. Chapter 4 and 5 was completed, and I have sent the final draft for the 5 chapters to Dr. Sabry for correction.

I have started writing the appendices, that will be placed earlier in the thesis, before the introduction, as well.

Week 13 (FYP 2)

In week 13, I finished my research paper and sent it to Dr. Sabry for corrections. Afterwards, after ammendments were made to the paper, I submitted the paper to UniKL BMI for grading.

Also, the LiDAR camera was found to be defective, after it was unable to read distance after testing it out on Arduino and Rasberry Pi. A warranty claim has been submitted to the seller of the camera, Cytron.

Week 12 (FYP 2)

This week, I focused mostly on wrapping up my FYP 2 by continuing my progress for my research paper and thesis.

I also worked on obtaining results from the Lidar to show to Associate Prof. Sabry for validation before I incorporate the results into my paper and thesis.

Week 11 (FYP 2)

This week is the FYP 2 presentation.

The presentation was held in UniKL BMI's great hall and students had to display their banner which contained information about their project in front of a panel, which was different for each student.

As a conclusion, my presentation had some problems while setting up, but these problems were solved with the help of Associate Prof. Ahmad Sabry, my supervisor. As for the panel, they understood what my project was about and deem the results I have collected as acceptable, but made some points about how I had not calibrated my sensors and how it would've been better if I had compared my results to results from a previous project that were taken in a similar area, as the experiment would have been done in a more controlled manner, and the results could have been compared to one another with geography being a constant variable.

Also, one more fault that the panel highlighted is the absence of Lidar results from my project, which were unable to be obtained before the design of the banner.
